Hi
not read through all messages so if this topic is already on board sorry.
Just continually amazed by the lack of information and assessment tools to help support children with Dyscalculia.
I was screened for this some years ago and was shown to be dyscalulic.
So this issue is close to my heart.
We (as in most schools) have shelves full of support for
dyslexia but children who have problems with math are just supposed not to 'get it'. I believe there is a difference between dyslexic children with number problems and dyscalculia.
So if there is any one out there with ideas for support or screening tools, please let me know.

Thanks!
These sites give a clear insight to dyscalculia, I feel I will be able to print these off and take them into school, hopefully they will back up my own explanations and insights into this area.

i suffer from this. when i was at school there wasn't any screening so it's only been in adult life that i have had this confirmed.
I believe my daughter also has it. She is currently working at level 5 for all subjects except maths...she is only level 3. she has the same trouble as me. getting the school to accept is very difficult. and i work there!!!!!
my other has a mild form of dyslexia - related to her problems with memory. she has extra help.
