Need to do one on Tuesday for a course that I'm doing, any tips?

If you mean a reading miscue rather than a writing/ spelling miscue

1. Make sure you tape it!

2. Enlarge a copy of the text and if poss double space it so you can annotate it.

3. If you feel confident you can analyse it as you go along but if not just watch out for assessment behaviours and then analyse from tape.

4. Play around with tape recorder first recording your voices - to put child at ease

They are great fun to do. Good luck!

It went well thanks Red, the child made enough mistakes for me to do a good analysis and set some targets. Just waiting for Senco to give feedback, which will probably be negative but I am pleased with how it went as it was my first.
