The government seem to be aiming to make some major changes in regards with children. Schools seem to be the ones to take the brunt of the reforms.
Any thoughts?
To add some dimension to this the government is changing some of its funding emphasis away from regeneration and putting it towards tackling unemployment on housing estates with high unemployment.

Is there a place for schools to be involved in tackling the problems that families face?
If so what should it be?
Do you have concerns about parent councils?
Do you think they could have a valued input into schools?
Considering how difficult it is to get parents involved or even to attend events should there be a concern about which parents would get involved?
With a general election looming up sometime, and the fact that Labour put so much emphasis on education and the recent publicity of its failure do you think this is just another set of political shenanigans? _________________ Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye. |
