At the end of every school yr when yr6 are about to leave they do a production for the school and parents to watch.

In previous years we have performed Grease, Joseph, Bugsy Malone and last yr we did a spin off of Robin Hood called Hoodwinked which was very good.

This year the music co-ordinator is finding it very hard to find a new production for us to perform this year. We have looked at website that we have ordered productions on before and no luck.

Just wondering if any of u guys could give me some ideas which i could relate back to work? The production/musical needs to be suitable for 7-11 yr olds and over 30mins long but not too long.

we've done various variety shows, songs through time, songs from the musical, that sort of thing. we generally have a couple of kids as time travellers or musichall directors etc to string it together. Always seems to go down well and plenty f scope for everyone who wants to to get involved.

Smilez, we have staged several Year 6 productions using this company. Don't be put off by some of the titles. The scripts are funny, topical and just satirical enough for parents to laugh at as well. The songs are great as well.

last years 6s did the one called 'school daze' of the web site beamie posted, it was very good. It is set in the future looking back on how it used to be, it was so acurate it could have been written for them specifically.

We did that one a couple of years ago abbey. This year we did the Snow White one. The songs are very, very catchy.

Yea, our new deputy head has told us about that production. She did it at the school she was at before.

Still no decisions made btw, lol
