Then on parents night parents are admonished for the amount of time their children have been off Rolling Eyes

Depending on what is wrong I will send Miss G in and if the school want her to come home they can make that decision. Though being sick or having to run to the toilet too often I won't. Depending on how severe I decide whether it will be 24 or 48 hours. She won't drink much when like this and dehydration is always a concern for us.

School have mentioned it and I told them when they have sorted their admin out I will reconsider. Being told my daughter has had unauthorised absences when one of the SMT have signed a piece of paper authorising her to leave school early due to illness didn't sit very well.

Sorry but at a time when many parents are receiving letters about absences and threats of visits by welfare officers parents are being put under a lot of pressure to send their children to school. No its not fair, especially on staff.
