Thing is, the EWO said it's rare to find people who educate teenagers at home, and try to follow the curriculum, as in his experience no one follows the curriculum.

Hi there,

A newbie on the forum but love all the advice I find here!

I am doing Romeo & Juliet with my Year 10 student at the moment and I have come across a really good resource called Spark Notes. It covers other curriculum areas but I find it especially helpful for Shakespeare.

It has plot summaries, character summaries, scene analysis as well as a modern translation of the original script. Hope someone finds it useful!

To Scat:

Just read your post regarding a translation of the Romeo & Juliet script. try this link - it is called NO FEAR SHAKESPEARE and does exactly what you were looking for, i.e. places the original text next to the translated version.
