For the past two years we have been using the Jelly and Bean phonics programme in my school.
The children love the characters, and the books make learning to read fun. There are worksheets and flashcards to use alongside.

Weve added four sets of Jelly and Bean decodable books to our infant supply of phonic readers. They are very popular and the children LOVE the pig series.

I also use them with EAL children. Brilliant! The text is easy to read and they can match the words with the pictures. This can then lead on to conversation about the characters etc.
We have a new child from Estonia, who speaks next to no English, but who is actually helping an English child to read them!!!!!!!! Very Happy
