One of the most if not THE BEST book i have read in a long while.

Couldnt put it down. Some simple truths in there not least the one about 'theft' being the greatest sin. I think that is utterly profound.

Amzingly powerful yet simple descriptions of places, experiences. I felt i was there.

And a book i know will stay with me for a good long time.

I hope the film comes round again soon.

Amazing story, a real eye opener regarding life in Afghanistan, particularly under the Taliban, really makes you appreciate how simple our lives really are Smile

The story of the kite fighters/kite runners is superb, such simple pleasures denied by the powers that be Sad

im hooked on this one, seemed a natural progression from my last read, 'a thousand splendid suns', didnt feel ready to move onto anything 'lighter'

one of those unfolding stories that you need to keep reading Confused

Read this on Holiday. It awakes all of your emotions and opens yours eyes to so much. An absolutely brilliant book, both in the content and the quality of the writing.
