Yes, I have just covered this in Yr 4 journeys. My advice is to use small pieces of round dowel and the bottle paint.

We did Aboriginal art with an Australian teacher during 'Activity Week' a couple of years ago - we used small paint brushes, with a little paint on the tip, then lightly dot. The art tends to use just colours that you would find on the earth, so would be mainly terracotta reds, browns, yellows and blacks. To be really traditional, you could used charcoal as well. Very Happy

I worked with a teacher from New Zealand and she used cotton buds a lot in Reception. The children loved it and most produced lovely pictures once they got the hang of it.
