anyone read this, ive started it twice and haven't managed to get past the first chapter, is it worth pursuing??

I gave up on this on holiday last year. I tried hard with it, skipped a few pages and read on but it really didn't interest me! Even when I skipped through to the end I found it daft!!!! Wasn't wasting valuable holiday reading time on it lol
