Yes I really like Clicker 5. We have five licences for clicker 4 [generally use for SEN] and I upgraded two of the computers with tesco vouchers. Also got Clicker paint as an add on which is wonderful.
Like Buttercup I have a child with excellent verbal skills but very limited writing skills. so once he has dictated what he wants to say I input these in for him to rearrange [so practice in sentence construction independently]
We have used it in class [Yr 2] just as a word processor [left the sound on but took away the grids] for children to check their own sentences then they can create a picture and insert it into the writing.
Some of the online crick activities are good to down load too.
Haven't seen the letters and sounds software but there are loads of phonic based activities online so I wouldn't pay for that.
It's one of those soft ware programmes where you need to have time to play on and experiment then this puts you in a better position to think how to adapt class work. [I never have enough time?]
