sorry to start this so early, but had borrowed this from the library, and having trouble getting into it

i do have problems with anything sci fi anyway, i need to understand whats going on in a story Confused

anyone read it and recommend that i persevere, its quite hard keeping up with him being all over the place in age and times Confused

I read it a while ago - it took me ages. Really didn't enjoy it but kept going. I kept getting confused by all the time changes and had to keep looking back.

My son (22) and husband enjoyed it but my teenage girls didn't. Is it a 'man book'?

I'm glad I persevered as it was so unusual but won't be re-reading or attempting anything similar.

I'm not a sci fi person either - but once I got into it I really enjoyed this book and have recommended it to other people.

Agree with you and the others. It's difficult to understand at first.
Once I had stopped trying to work out the time span and just went with the flow of reading it I strated to enjoy it.

turned out to be one of the best books I've read

This book really made me sit down and concentrate on it, I couldn't just flick through the pages like I normally do. I absolutely loved it except I did not understand the ending and needed a bit of help!

Funnily enough I was going to read it again but just can't find it!

Keep going DQ I am sure that you won't regret it.

I loved this book, so did hubby and many others who I have lent it to. Been a while since I have read it so will look forward to revisiting it for the book club.

I used to hate sci-fi but hubby got me into some really brilliant reads which are very good - strong male and female characters rather than just 'beings'

Happy reading all

Very Happy

Honestly? was an ok read but I don't think it's one I'd have minded not reading. I did persevere as I don't like not to finish a book but to be truthful it wasn't as good as I'd hoped. May be because i tend to like factual (or stories that could be factual) rather than fictional ones.

Did you ever finish it DQ?

no, i got the audio cd from the library and have been listening on the way to and from work, some of it is great and i think...i like this...then i lose it on a boring part, or when there is a character im not really interested in

some of the story makes you want to read/listen on though, as you realise that older Henry knows some things that he cant tell Claire about her future, but sometimes that seems like a long way off before you are going to find out

im defintitely going to read it though, probably in the summer,
