I kinda cheated. You machine sew 3 or 4 strips together and then cut across them so you have 3 or 4 joined squares and then join them to others into strips before sewing the strips together. That's probably as clear as mud!

Still got more to make - will take the 'finished picture' once I get the will to get sewing patchwork pillows again! My friend wants to paint the wood they will be sitting on so she is in no great hurry.
