Hi all,
Just about to make a start on ECA, can't believe how fast the course has gone, wondered if any past or present E111ers had any good advice to pass on about the ECA. I will need all the help I can get.
I went back to school after the Easter break to be told by my head that she nolonger wants me class based and that from now on I will be in charge of KS2 SEN, working alongside SENCO, who on my first day presented me with brand new numeracy scheme to implement and assess and doubled the size of the existing Literacy SEN group. Have spent the last week reading SEN stuff till it's coming out of my ears. If only she could have waited till after the ECA!!

As I did PSHE and Learning in and out the classroom in my appendix I put: [things that I had referred to in the main body]
An extract from my school behaviour policy
An extract from school PSHE policy
An explanation of the SEAL Programme that we use
A definition on bullying
A photograph of a role play area I talked about that supported the PSHE work I was involved in
A reflective piece of writing at the end of the session from a pupil. [What they learnt
For the learning in and out of classroom I used a photograph of a school visit
Then a painting from a younger child referring to the visit. |

Hi ggeni
Possible relevant extracts from school documents re behaviour, health and safety, curriculum subjects ......
Hope to start writing mine this week as I usually end up doing it last minute.
We can all be on here to support each other/offer advice so will no doubt be back on here in a day or two.... |

Hello good luck with your ECA everyone.
In my appendices I put things like job description, confidentiality policy, and a resource I had used to give a child ownership of their own learning.
As this is a reflection of what you have learned in the course I don't think you would need to explain ZPD; instead just be explicit in your main text why you have used this concept ggeni.
dolphin, unfortunately you can't break up appendices in that way, but you can put corresponding info into appendix and then just refer to (Appendix A). |
