The teacher that ended up being questioned at my interview wasn't someone that I regularly work with. She just knew me (and the sort of work I do) well and was the class teacher of my 1 to 1 task pupil.

If the HT knows you well then she can answer a lot of the assessors questions.

Your school office will have the contact number for the assessor direct when he/she made the appointment. I would advise office to ring on your behalf. I bet they will settle for a different teacher if you are happy with that as usually they come from outside the area specifically to do these interviews. If he/she has another candidate to see on the same day it makes it an expensive commute to do it twice.

Hope that helps.

That sounds hopeful. Maybe another teacher could do it for me.

Cheers for that Lbee.

Although the questions at interview are supposed to be tailormade to the weaker bits of your evidence, every one of the 15 people on my preparation days said their teachers were asked how often we took whole classes, how many pupils in the class etc. Other questions were things like how you handle behaviour issues, lines of communication, feedback to teachers.

My nominated teacher said she found it quite straightforward and that questions were things I did in my everyday role, nothing that put her on the spot.

If you have a teacher that knows you well and is happy to do it, then go for it PG. You'll get stressed waiting for another appointment and secondly you wouldn't want to stress out the assessor by making them come to your area a second time.

Keep us posted and good luck whatever you decide.
