what about making their own autograph books designing the covers and illustrating the pages and then they can use them to remember each other with at the end of term. |

How about design and make a large photo frame, digital photo collage of their friends ( and maybe staff? ) _________________ Laughter is a smile with the volume turned up.

That would be a good one because you could take a photograph of them and they would have a reminder it could go alongside the autograph book. Why not get them to investigate what people used to write in autograph books. The kids now usually just sign them whereas mine used to have little poems and dittys in them some made you cry and others made you laugh.
Another idea I did with a few children a few years ago was to make clay faces. We used Terracota clay and a local potter fired them (she sold me the clay too)I glued them onto a board which I had painted black it looks great.Tou could put it up in school. |

Hi. Probably a bit late and you will be all planned but our Year Sixes will
be having a World War 2 week. Make gas masks and play sirens (drama)
build mini air shelters and drop weights on them (DT and science) and finish up with a VE Day party on the last day (dress up for the day and also have a talent show!)
We also have a greek week! Make mask of gods/goddesses plus get really mucky with paper mache greek urns and taste greek food. |

I cover PPA in Year 6 and the final term I am doing some role play /school leavers songs with them, a whole class dance for their leavers assembly and they are preparing a leavers magazine/ friendship book where they can swap photographs, emails, messages etc.

Hi Tiggersmum,
Rather late in the day, but looking at the subjects you mentioned why not some practical science projects?
Erupting volcanos, air powered cars, chinese water clock, would suggest a working model hovercraft but would probably need some knowledge. I am sure there are plenty of other ideas. _________________ Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye. |
