Finally - I've passed my NVQ2! Certs came in the post Friday 9th May.
thats 18 months of giving up family time kicked into touch.
now it's welcome to the real world I suppose.
it's funny - when i mentioned it to the younger TA's who qualifoed a couple of years ago in the place where I'm a SMSA, they seemed less than enthusiastic. then i discovered via the jungle drums that their were 2 posts coming up, and they were after them!
guess what also was advertised the day my certs arrived? Wink

so guess what i've spent today filling in to look impressive, after all I have been volunteering in the school for nearly 4 years across all the age ranges. do i have a chance do you think? Confused

i can't believe it - i've got an interview, altho now i'm scared to death!
look at this
arr 8.55am
interview 9-9.20am - skills and qualities bring to job etc
give presentation max 10mins (oh help!)
25 mins observed helping group in year 3 - my daughters class.

i'm more worried about the presentation.
i've got to outline factors i believe help children learn and ways in which i as a ta would promote these!

i'm thinking about doing a life cycle game - using pictures of eggs hatching and chicks - for younger children, and also 'nicking' the listening walk on the dfes dvd that comes with 'sounds and letters'

any clues would be gratefully received.
