I am not in a union (one of those things I kept meaning to do but never got round to it). Anyway I am now in a serious stiuation where I really need some advice regarding pay. Does anyone know who I can contact outside of school for free advice?

Think you can still join the union and ask for advice.

Also depending on the advice you need you may be able to consult a solicitor through your home insurance legal department. I was able to do this when I needed advice on redundancy many years ago.

Hi Littlemiss,

None of our staff on the TMO are union members, I always recommend they speak to CAB or ACAS if they have a problem which we have not dealt with to their satisfaction.
