Can anyone please help we have just started unit 2 of cache level 3 and our tutor has asked us to find out about butler act 1994 but when I looked on the internet all I seemed to find was butler act 1944 and she wants us to look at the wording used and record it. I know he was respnsible for making education available and free for all between 5-15 and the need to raise the leaving age to 16 although this didnt come into practice until 1971. but i'm not sure what she means does anyone have a clue pleassssse? Any help would be appreciated lv BD Crying or Very sad

does she mean that it was exclusive rather than inclusive as it advocated a three tier system, or does she mean look at the language used within the act as opposed to the language we would use now? It also advocated Christian worship which has now changed in many schools because of the diversity of the population.

Quote:
The tripartite system consisted of three different types of secondary school: grammar schools, secondary technical schools and secondary modern schools. It allowed for the creation of comprehensive schools which would combine these strands, but initially only a few were founded.
