I take home just short of £700 but that includes 25 hours normal level 2 ta rate and 5 hours level 3 for PPA cover. Smile

ta's are on about 1000 a month at our school but that is top of scale
- i work as amin 'what if' and work 25 hours as admin support but doin my level 3 teaching assistant as i want to be qualified ta soooooooooo rewardin if you do the job properly... good luck and we need more male ta's so go for it!!!!! lv BD by the way Im 24 with four kids.... 2 boys and twin girls oh sory got that the wrong way round i'm really 42 and love my dressing gown don't I everyone!!! x

I'm guestimating really but in my first school wages range from £6.90 per hr to approx £10 phr.
Fulltime is 30hrs a weekbut don't forget most schools don't pay 52 weeks a year, although you would probably get 12 pay slips a year. Most of us work between 16-22 hours a week.
TAs at my place range between 41 and 61yrs old....no male TAs.
