I have never looked into it before but due to posts on here re making ends meet I worked out what my salary would be if I was paid for full year (52 weeks) rather than term time + holidays. The difference is £112 per month

I wondered what percentage of us were on each contract (not after what you earn!)

I am on a 39 week contract with an additional 6 weeks hol pay as i am fulltime ( 36 hours a week ) . I find it more suitable for me as the few staff on 52 week contracts work longer hours and my hours suit me and my childcare arrangements much better .Still, some extra money would be nice though !!!

I should point out that I am not complaining, I took the job knowing full well that it was term time. Just think that what ever the system it should be the same for all.

I like having the breaks and acknowledge I have to work for a pittence to get them Crying or Very sad Very Happy Very Happy

2 of ourer older TAs are payed all year round , it was a gesture of good will from our old Head a he valued his staff and didn't want them finding new jobs. however our new Head fronds upon it and it sticks in her throat that they are payed more than the rest of us [ mores the fact she is paying out when she shouldn't have to ] .The pay difference to mine is about 1.200 a year

i work 32hrs a week the most hours for a TA in our school , it is term time only . i never complain much about my pay [ even though it would be nice to have more ] i feel i have a good , not to stressful and quite fun to , glittering and glueing etc it's not manual ,and the holidays are fantastic .Iwould hate to be on the same pay working 40hrs a week being stressed out and working a manual job. i feel quite lucky. The TAs who are payed all year round have been with us a long time .

I get paid for 27 hrs per week (24 in sept) fo 39 wks of the year.

I was just wondering if you get paid for 52 weeks, do you have to work in the holidays? seems so unfair if you don't!!! (and I'm very jealous)
Also, where do I need to move to so I can get one of those contracts?!

But then, if teachers get paid for 52 weeks then why shouldn't we? *ducks in anticipation of teachers reply.

Last Sept 17.5 hrs on 52 week contract, upped to 20.5 in January, and now reviewed again to 25 hrs on 52 week contract. Regularly do 28+ a week, but don't claim it. Didn't ask for increase in hours, was advised they would be increased . . . nice somebody noticed Rolling Eyes Very Happy .

Seriously though have to say we are lucky and ours is a fair school in this respect.
