hi everyone hope everyones well. i havent been on here for about a year sorry i feel bad and as its been so long i was not sure where to stick this so i thought i stick it right here if no one minds, iv been working as a support assistant for two years as the child i was working with now off to second school in sep so this means the statement has run out so im out of a job unless i want to just do five days a week as looking after key stage one at luch time which i do not, so iv been looking around so this thursday i have a interview for another statemented child but in a diffrent school. what i would like to know is im going to be asked to do a written task has anyone got any idea what this could be about as im very nervouse cos i didnt think i would have to that i thought an interview was just that a interview im worried anoth as it is with out haven o worry about the written task as well. many thanks

hi and thanks for both your replys and its nice to be back, i have asked around and no one seems to know maybe its a new thing to do with what i know about special educational needs or something like that carnt think what elss it can be. Thurday is the day so il soon find out just thought someone might know so i have an idea what is expected, i will let you know as soon as, im very nervous more about that than the interview thanks again and il let you know wheather i get the potision or not x

Could it be basic literacy rather than about the role? Could you phone the school and ask for more information.?

not sure either had a interview the other week but was not asked to do that so not sure if its a new thing.
like hollyw said give the school a call they will be able to let you know what it is or give you an idea.

I know one TA who had to do a written task. She had to look at some observations and write down what they told her about the child, and where they needed the most support etc
