Basically....

i have been working with a supply teacher for the past 3 weeks in year 6. The thing is, i am doing the leavers assembly, and have been practicing for the past 2 weeks. This week i will do more practcing every day - mornings and afternoons,

My point is that i will be taking charge due to the play. But i am getting annoyed as i feel she is getting paid for nothing!! As this past week, i have been directing the children and although she does offer some help here and there - not alot at all by the way. i just feel that it is ufair that the school is paying her loads and here i am on a rubbish salary doing the leavers. I have also had loads of support by other teaching assistants, and they agree with me.
she told me she has planned nothing for the next two weeks as there is no need.#

do i tell the head how i feel, or just leave it?

I would. I think it is very reasonable after 3 weeks of watching the supply should be taking over.... should have happened before now anyway.........

Must say that is a lot of practise

i wrote and have organised the leavers so i don't want her taking over that. I've done the music, dancing, etc - it's mine!

It's just that i feel that there is no point to her being there - she's a nice person and all, but i feel it is a waste of money - i should be getting it -hahaha,i wish! She has confessed to me more than once that she feels she is getting paid to do nothing,and that is true!

I know it is alot of pratice, but you should see my class!

Legally they would need to have her in. I know what you mean though we had one in the other day and it was a lesson money for old rope.Enjoyment and crowd control (some of the time-I stopped two boys fighting) but no learning actually took place.
