Can anyone advise me what the 3 day assessment involves?

I have read the litereature, produced by BestPractice, but would really appreciate some more specific details.

I am meeting with our Head next week to discuss the criteria (my line manager and I think I am already working at this standard) but he really wants to know what else in involved. We were severely let down by our training provider when completing NVQ and he is not keen to have prolonged contact with the same provider.

You can download the Handbook but you will get it on Day 1.My provider was Prime and they were very good.Basically you go to Day 1 and work through the handbook with the tutor explaining it to you and you look at the Standards and using post its think of ways you can meet them.You go around the table and share this information so if you are stuck for a way of meeting it someone else might have an idea.The tutor guides you through the process but you have to come up with the goods.Between Day 1 and Day 2 you are expected to write up Task 1 and outline some ideas for the others.You look at each others and mark whether you agree it meets the standard or not and put in the ones they may have missed.Between Day2 and Day3 you write up Task 2, 3 and some of the Task 4's and give examples of evidence.You read each others and mark them.Then you look at what you have left and ideas are shared to cover them.You learn how to write the GRID! Then you go off and finish the assessor(who you have booked) comes and views your evidence and questions staff and you.The Tasks are sent off at least a week before but the evidence is produced at the assessment.
