I have been offered the chance by my school to do six modules on the Training programme for TA's and wondered if anyone else had done any of them and what they were like?
I am starting HLTA training in September as well as working full time as a TA so want to know what is involved before I sign up!!!!!

As far as I know this is aimed at TAs who have just completed the Induction or who have not received any further training and want to improve their effectiveness in the classroom.


Is there something else that I've not heard about?

having just completed the HLTA and had my assessment day today I wouldnt have wanted to have taken anything else on at the same time. It was very time consuming. I dont work 2 afternoons a week but have 2 young children with dad working away at moment. It just seemed that most nights for 10 or so weeks I was working on the tasks.

You need to assess how much time you have.

I agree the HLTA is enough in itself and if you have that I wouldn't have thought you needed the other.......but I may be wrong never heard of it up here.
