since getting home there has been a strange smell in the dishwasher, probably beause the kids only put it on maybe once while i was away Rolling Eyes

looked on internet for tips...bleach in the dishwasher and wash through

maybe i was a little too generous with the bleach Confused

now on rinse out number 5 Rolling Eyes

with newspaper all round the dishwasher to catch the suds

Someone told me white vinegar is very good for cleaning out dishwashers and washing machines DQ. Very Happy

OH did that with washer, also put soap powder in so had soapy bleachy mess everywhere!

I always use the finish dishwasher cleaners, less messy Rolling Eyes

I just put it on empty, hot wash with a normal tab.

White vinegar didn't work on my quilt rust - oh well, it's a reminder to not leave a quilt for a year before finishing!
