I've been mulling this one over - I've been exchanging emails with the organiser of the basketry courses I've done showing her photos, etc. She asked me to bring in anything I would be willing to put in the display cabinets at the office to show the results of the recycling course - she was going to ask the other participants too as she is having to put together a report showing what she has been doing. I went in today with several baskets and the last 2 willow ones to show her - the receptionist (when she found her) came back and said "She's too busy to talk to you, just leave them with me."
I left the recycled ones and kept the willow ones as I have to get them posted - was halfway down the stairs and started to feel rather put out - is it just me or was that plain rude?

Thats very rude, especially as she asked you to bring in the baskets.Have you had a reply from her since saying thank you? It's the least she could do.
Bad manners and rudness really get to me but there is so much of it about these days she may not even have thought she was being rude. Glad you didn't leave those lovely willow baskets though JD.

I was half expecting you to say that you'd gone back and taken back the baskets that you'd left - I think I would've done. Good gracious - and it wasn't as if SHE was doing YOU the favour!!!!

The reason I took the willow ones was to show her that the course had given me a new hobby and that I'm making baskets to order for other people so that could be shown as a success story - but she didn't get to know!
I've had no email or any other acknowledgment from her - was expecting an email at least.

So your next task is to go back and get the baskets, after all she would get the credit of being the person that taught you how to do it, not to give you the showcase to sell.

Even if she was busy at the time, she should have sent a follow up email at the very least. Make a really skewiff, wonky basket and swop that with your good ones to display!
that would be so funny, then go and take lots of photos as if you are really proud of them, and take lots of friends and family in to look and make comments!
