I have experience of working with children and in pre-schools and have taken time out to have my own child. I am now looking to become a TA and would love to have some sort of qualification to go with my experience to help me get a foot in the door.

My problem is that I need to do a home study course/diploma that DOES not require a work placement as my daughter is still young and I have no-one I can leave her with (even for 3 hours a week) to get this experience.

Any-one done a home study course? If so which one and do you recommend it?? has anyone done one of the Aset courses??

have a look in the Open University or the BTEC/Cache areas of the forum Lucie. lots of members have done completed home study courses. It may be a good idea to contact your LEA too as they can advise you which courses are recognised within your schools
