ditto fleur
I agrees constant stress at work is not worth it, if you add it all up your at work with people you choose not to be with more than your loved ones so you need to feel settled and secure if you can. It sounds as if Mr C's made the right move. Best wishes to you all xx

ooooh err!

Mr Catbells starts his new job tomorrow...

a tad anxious i think as i would be - as i guess WE ALL WOULD BE.....

Equally looking forward to this enormous challenge.

First days are awful i always think . you dont know anyone or anything,

So lots of TLC for him i think. he's ordered roasted parsnips with tea tonight!

wished i'd never mentioned them now., Embarassed i guess it just reminded me of when i was little and in need of something nice because something new/scary/ new and scary! was happening the following day.

his way of asking for TLC i guess! though i went out and bought him some of his favourite beer to relax with after work these next few nights. - or whenever...

Thanks for your care all the same.

Sorry catbells I wasn't making fun. I just thought it was so lovely to remember that special/favourite food is important and shows we care even for adults. I love roast parsnips and they are comforting in a funny sort of way. Enjoy your meal. Smile

Thanks for your kind messages of support.

i feel for him this morning. Surprised he could eat breakfast!

Those first days are difficult. We've all been there but it doesnt make it any easier.

I hope to God it works out for him, for us.

he survived!

a steep learning curve. but i think he suspected that way back.

a HUGE change for him. and particularly being a department of 1 - him. think he'll find that hard. both in terms of having someone to talk to and support in his job. no-one to act as a sounding board type thing.

it will get better - not necessarily easier yet but the first awkward , not knowing anything/anyone day is out of the way.

thanks for your support ppl.
