Hi, for PPA i spend around half an hour doing music and have been given the music express scheme to work from.
I think the scheme is quite new, it includes plans, CD rom and CD. I find it quite had to work from and skip quite a few sessions. Alot of the lessons require a large variety of instruments and we only have enough for a small group to have an intrument each, in the mean time alot of the class are having to wait for a turn.
So is there any TAs using the same scheme who have any advice how to make it better? Im currently using the scheme in Year 4.

Hiya, i over PPA on a Tuesday afternoon. As well as doing an hr of Numeracy i do the music too.
I use the Music Express scheme with Year1 and i really love it.
The teacher prints off the plans and she annotates them and i just work from that.
I have found some of it to be a bit tricky for the Year 1's, some cannot understand word beats and even beats in songs but they all have a go and love having a play on the instruments!
I have never work with Year4 so not sure if i'd be any help and i guess the scheme would be totally different for u.
