Holiday time is almost upon us again and whether it's a picture of Blackpool Tower or some exotic hide away or even some tourist area in your area why not post your pictures here. I'll then copy them into our other new thread in Your Own Creations

New York, New York, it's a wonderful town!

Ellis Island - Where the emigrants first landed. Very, very atmospheric.

Times Sq - very,er, bright!

Coming up to Liberty Island - mucho exciting!

Ground Zero - Hard to comprehend so many lives lost here.

Great pictures Beamie. I was disappointed the first time I saw the statue. I thought it was going to be much bigger than it was. All those films you see it in make it look much larger.

I was really excited coming up to it on the ferry, but have to agree with you, when I got there I didn't stay long. Got back on the ferry to Ellis Island and stayed there hours.
I felt the same about Nigara Falls. We did a visit from New York and I was really disappointed with it!

I love the Isle of wight as well. The only thing is I don't like boats very much which makes it awkward for visiting. But I'm going to have that problem when I get to visit the shetlands. Two lovely places. I think I'd better learn to fly. Super pictures. Keep them coming.

Beamie I thought the same as you about Niagra Falls. The canadian side is better but it's very much a tourist trap, It might have looked better from the boat but I couldn't bring myself to go in that.

Beautiful photos Celtic. We used to go on school journey to the Isle of Wight, an activity centre at Bembridge. I'm the opposite to you Tiki. I don't mind boats but dont like planes. I base this on the assumption that in an emergency I could swim, but however much I flap my arms, I'll never be able to fly! lol

Thankyou for the compliments on my pictures...Bembridge is a lovely area, actually theres not many areas that I don't like lol...we live in the more rural south of the island and I love it...though I would say theres still too many people where we live...I would like to be more rural!!

I just love the gatehouse window photo.... I could do a painting of that quite happily.

Lovely idea sending pics of our areas in.

I do have photos of our area (south Oxfordshire) which is an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) but can't work out how to send them.
