I am just starting my new position in school as an HLTA and I am going to be covering art unit 3c 'can we change places' has anyone done this unit any ideas ??????????

The unit is about sculpture in public buildings and places.
I guess the children will need to make sculptures using wire - look at the environment and how buildings and sculptures change it ????????????

have a look in useful links,there is an Art Attack link in there, which may give you some ideas

could you look at statues, different buildings maybe looking at the South Bank....the Globe, London Eye...the old GLC building...lots of different styles within one area

Have you considered Foucault's Pendulum? Smile

People have those as 'decoration' in buildings etc and it combines art (sometimes) and science... Not sure if that's the sort of thing you might be after, but here are two links:

Also Christopher Wren built the Town Hall in Windsor and was offended that his design wasn't trusted (the council were concerned that the unsupported floors would collapse) - so he built four pillars and left a gap between them and the ceiling to prove a point... lol
