In the past I have seen a set of prompt cards online, eg 'listen', 'put your hand up', 'sit nicely' etc but I've been searching through all my links, and through the links on the links thread but can't find anything.

I've been meaning to make some for a while for the child I work with but was reminded today as I need to make him a prompt card not to chew his pencil, (strips it down to the bare wood then starts shredding that Shocked ), thought maybe something along the lines of a no smoking type sign, but as I'm not at all artistic was looking for something I could print - anyone any ideas?

With regards to a pencil I would buy him a new one with a rubber on the end or I would be very tempted to dip it in Stop and Grow. What about an elastic band wound tightly around the top to remind him.

Have PM'd you Sirazee Very Happy
Another suggestion I have is use the schools didgital camera and get the child/children to model the behaviour you want and photograph them.

Sorry forgot the card bit .I've made my own because you can then tailor it to fit the individual. stickers on a sheet divided into short sessions helps too.Give a small reward when achieved each timed session then lenghten as you proceed.

re the pencil idea Jack, when I was in Tesco last week I bought a 10 pack of coloured plastic propelling pencils for something ridiculous like 54p which have worked quite well as there's nothing to chew on them Wink though the CT did make the mistake of getting a rubber pencil grip from reception which is getting nibbled Rolling Eyes

Thanks for the links abbey thumbsup

Just an update, thanks to help from Jack and abbey, first of all I made

sheet to laminate & cut up into cards, (was impressed with the left handed writing pic as he is left handed) but decided I wanted a more positive tone so changed the wording to

(censored for obvious reasons!)

I think I'll try your idea Jack of the elastic band round the end as a reminder, though the first thing I did with those plastic pencils was remove the rubbers from the end - too much temptation I thought Wink

Thanks again both of you thumbsup
