I run a fine motor skills group and some of the enjoyable activities that we do are:
playing tiddlywinks, doing dot to dot, colouring in, working with jigsaws are but a few we have done recently.
my plans are at school, but whe I get there on Monday I will have a look for you. |

Jigsaws ae good as Kitkat says - also using playdough is good for strenthening finger movements. |

Play dough is brilliant. Also I find mini wipe boards are good the child can see a result from their attempt so is good for the confidence.
Ripping paper or just scrunching it up is good for the hand muscles, threading beads, pegs and boards, posting coins into a box are also good. (those interested in jump ahead I have just given away some more activities!!)
You can get special scissors which make it easier for the child to cut. I will source more info on them for you.

Tweezers and pegs help develop the strength in the fingers needed for the tripod grip |
