I've registered and done the email bit but what do I do now? Have I done everything?

I don't know what BBccode is and what on earth ia Run poll??? Can you tell me what 'pm'd'is or does. Dare I admit that I have never used a smilie...(what do they do?) and dear me! What do I do with an emoticon???

Should I run away and join another club (if such exists!) for those who have not had a misspent life ignoring all this. No...'ignoring' is wrong. I'd have had to know it to ignore it? This computer speak has just passed me by when I wasn't looking.........

if you have never posted on a forum before it can be difficult to 'get into' it, im sure i have seen your name on another forum though, so maybe it is just this format that you find difficult

believe me registering is the hardest part

Yes, and now all you need to do is carry on posting and join in where you can / want.

You don't need to worry about bbcode... it's just the language of the board... there are a wide variety of such languages, just look at TES Wink

I'd belive you've never used a smily / emoticon (they're the same thing) and as mentioned above, you can either simply click on them or type them into your messages...

Yes, if you like, the more exposure you'll get the faster you'll pick it up. There are forums out there to cover just about every hobby and interest going.

Thanks people...and yes dq - we both use TES...I'm not really going to run away....just kidding!

I've been looking at this site for ages and I can see already it has some super stuff on it. It has a different feel to TES.

Forgot to add....my teenage son told me what pm'd means. "Oh muuum - how can you not know that???" (Heavy with derogatory tone to hopeless mother) Quick as a flash, (and he felt it necessary to point out that the whole world knows this) he said it's 'private message'.

What a day this is........so much information!
