A new animation which aims to teach children (2 - 8) with asd to understand and recognise emotions has been created.

The animation, called The Transporters use cartoon vehicles with real faces to look at various emotions. With the dvd comes a manual to help parents and others to get the most out of the episodes.

For a limited time they are giving the dvd away free.

not had chance to look at the link yet but I think this is devised by simon baron-cohen who has also developed some software called mind reading which also helps to develop recognision of emtions

I use it and think its brill

LOL good to see there is plenty of interest in it.

Spoke to the doctor who was doing the psychometric testing on daughter and while she was aware of it she didn't know they were giving away the dvd. She has a parent workshop next week and will passing the information on.

Which reminds me, must get my order in before they get too many and decide to end the promotion Neutral

Things have been very busy recently, and have an operation on my arm in Feb, so won't be online much after that for a few weeks.

there is also a very good book(s) for older students, cant remember the name but was shown it when i was training at a specialist unit, will look out my materials
