I just handed in my Numercy assignment yesterday and we got our next one.
3000 words on Child development!!!! We have to pick a pupil or group of pupils and discuss their development and how our working practice aids that development and use theories to back up our statements.
I didn't really put that much effort into my last one and just know this is going to be bloooooommming tough!
ARRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! To top it all, I threw loads of books away about 2 months ago on child development thinking I wouldn't need them as I had kept them for 6 years and they had just gathered dead spiders and woodlice!!!!!! |

Do you only get one assignment at a time? I am due to hand in 3 essays, covering 2 modules next sat and will either be doing 2 or 3 modules, either 3 or 5 essays, depending on whether or not I get any APL for my OU course! |

Thats interesting. We gain 120 credits every year and as I said if we pass each assignment at the end of the course will have 240 credits. Having an assignment though every six weeks is hard and we get the new one on the day we hand the last one in! |

It is a quick turn around but I am enjoying it and the tutor we have this module has accent to die for, he is Irish not too heavy an accent and to be honest I spent more time just listening to his voice than taking it in. I did email him with my intro to which I have added and got some lovely feedback from him. |

Aww Matrix we do get the recognition from the kids and their achievements and I wouldn't give that up for a larger pay packet!!
Well I passed my numeracy assisgnment and the bits of feedback I got I will be taking with me to the Child Development module. The tutor has been nice if a little hard to follow and has given us mountains of handouts! We have an extra week to hand it in, which is a good thing as I am not motivated at all at the mo. Next module SEN.
I have also been told that in yr 2 of my degree I can get my HLTA accredited by adding a reflective essay, which is cool, when everyone else is doing the HLTA. |
