ohhhhhhh this sounds loads of fun. Nearly got as excited as DQ, but the thought of raiding everyone's recycling bin might look bad, so soon shut me up.
Please take a pic of the tower if you can though DizzyD, would love to see it |

Or rectangles with diagonal cross bracing (form a box section the same way they make skyscrapers).
And / or, use arches at strategic points to distribute the load effectively to the corners (which should be the strongest uprights) |

We did a similar thing [well not me personally] a few years ago for a technology challenge week. The pupils came up with some fantastic sculptures such as the Eiffel tower etc. if the photos are still on the school computer I'll upload them [with faces blanked out] here for all to see. |

yes
dont stare at people  , laugh when the boss makes a joke  , never offer 'acerbic' comments  , dont jest or use naive humour
never play with the newspapers and say ' hey fancy making a tower!' without checking who is in the room
im going to wait for the pics from Bluebell.......  this could be fun _________________
