Has anyone done this in the style of van gough. What worked best

Applique lends itself to it I would say.

yep or batik? or sreenprinting?

or

lots of materials..plain for background and colours or flower prints to make up the pictures in a collage of material

could use some felt...easy for kids to sew. and felt would apply itself well for some slight relief leaves/petals.

me too .What about making your own felt and using that.

bit time consuming though.....and aint as easy as it looks!!! I tried and just cannot get the knack.
