I've been searching on the internet for Early Years courses and have come across the Early Years Professional Status a few times now. Can't really understand what this qualification is. Does it involve QTS or is it like an Early Years version of HLTA??

EYPS is a level 6 qualification, the same as QTS but to be used in early years settings. I have just finished a FdA at Leeds Met un in Harroage and am going on to do the BA (hons) with QTS as a top up in Leeds. Some of my friends on the course are going on to do the EYPS and they all work in pre-school settings. It is a recognised qualification not a status like the HLTA (level 4). Not sure what your situation is but if you have done a level 5 qualification ie FdA then this is the next top-up step for you. Have a look at Bradford College and Best Practice Training.
