I'm new here.
I have an NVQ 2 in childcare & Education (ages 0-8), that I got in 2000. I would like to go for a TA course and wonder what to do. Apparently the course I hold will allow me to go straight into level 3 TA, but I'm wondering whether I will miss important stuff out if I don't do level 2. On the other hand, it would obviously be better from the point of view of time studying. Just over a year instead of 3!

Has anyone been in a similar position?
What do you think?

Hi Lozben,

I have just finished my level 3 ta course and I like you had my level 2 in child care and education,
so I would say go straight on the level 3 course you wont miss out as you learn a lot on the level 3, it will save you time and money.

agree with TeeBee, most of the stuff you learn on the level 2 will crop up in the Lvel 3 so you won't miss anything out by not doing the Level 2.

I done both, but had I have known at the time I probably would have just done level 3

I agree you already have Level 2 in Childcare and Education so go for the Level3.

Thank you so much for your advice. The level 3 is not offered where I live at the moment but there is a good chance it will be in January, so that'll be good, I will try and enrol then!
