This is a nice site for recipes and I quite liked the idae of having the on-line recipe 'binder' it is free to register.
I have already tried the courgette chutney as we have a glut of those and it was lovely. Loads of recipes so enjoy

I'm growing blueberries in pots because they like an acid soil and mine isn't. I've put them in very large containers with some old chopped up polystyrene at the bottom for drainage and to reduce the amount of compost I've got to use. I've never heard of Gooseberries in containers but I don't see why you shouldn't if it's large enough. I'm looking at the thornless tayberry on that web site as well.
Gardening trivia. I've cut a marrow and as it was dirty with the mud splashed up by the rain I gave it a rinse off in an oversized bucket filled with rain water. I let it go by accident, Did you know that marrows float? I didn't.
You can grew herbs outside as long as they are perennial.
Thanks for the link Veggie. That site isn't going to do much good for my diet. _________________ Accept that some days you are the pigeon and some days the statue

I've made rather a lot of cucumber and apple chutney (15lb) any one want any.
I'll have to find another recipe for the next lot of cucumbers.
I wonder if you can freeze cucumber? Maybe be not with the large water content.
Stuffed marrow for dinner tonight. The only thing I had to buy was the mince and the cheese. Peppers, onions, mushrooms and marrow I've grown. _________________ Accept that some days you are the pigeon and some days the statue

We went out last night brambling and picked around 9lb of blackberries. I guess today I'll be making
Blackberry and apple jam
Blackberry Jelly
Spicy blackberry chutney.
That is after I've collected the rest of the ingredients and found some more jars.
There are loads of fruit still ripening, I expect I'll be making another trip out this time with some thick gloves to pull the branches away. Oh yes, if you pick blackberries remember not to wear any reasonable. Now to find out how to get rid of fruit stains off white T shirts _________________ Accept that some days you are the pigeon and some days the statue
