Just recieved agenda for summer governors meeting and I spotted the pay review details. I am aware that cleaners, dinnerladies and site supervisors have been informed of backpay owed and its quite a large amount. Reading between the lines in appears support staff in school may be inline for smiliar. However dont want to bank on it! The details r in governor jargon. Just wondered if any one else had heard of support staff recieving a pay reward? Or spotted it on the agenda.

Have you just gone through single staus? When we did nearly all council employees had a one off payment depending on how many years they had been employed for.

Never heard of single status? From what i can make out, our job roles will be evaluated against other county employees to check whether r pay is equal. My union has been intouch saying i might be offered a sum of money to compensate but I have not heard anything. It wasn't unitl i read the governors agenda that i realised it might apply to school staff. think there is 15,000 wages to sort out over a period of 3 years.

Not sure where you are but have not heard of any support staff who are due back pay... most I know have been levelled or lowered.

There are a few pay threads on the problems at work forum

I agree - our County has just done the job evaluation and is trying to sort out pay levels now. Most TAs have stayed the same or gone down.

I have been recently awarded compensation for when i worked at level 1, supporting a statemented child at dinner and lunch breaks. Payment depends on number of years you did the job for.
